About Carrier Centers

Carrier Centers launched in 1960 as Carrier Truck Centers. At the time we were and still are proud to be an International Dealership. From the first truck we sold to the largest fleet that we have supported, the Carrier Name has always meant quality trucks, an unrivalled commitment to providing the highest quality of service for every vehicle that enters our shops, availability of top quality parts and a profound passion for the industries that we serve.

Over the years, first under the leadership of our founder Marvin Long and since 2003 through our current President and Dealer Principal Robert R Long, Carrier Centers has grown form its original roots to include locations in Brantford, Woodstock, London, Sarnia, Windsor, Ayr and Hagersville. Our dealership has been the recipient of numerous awards from International including the prestigious Diamond Standards award that recognizes the leadership that we have provided within Southern Ontario.

In 1974 Carrier Truck Centers developed a full lease and rental program through our affiliation with Idealease. We recognized that for some companies the option for short or even long term leasing made more business sense. We knew that our customers, who rely on us to service their vehicles, may sometimes require a quick rental to get them through when demand was up or a truck was off the road.

While the Carrier name has always been associated with heavy and medium duty trucks and the power of International, our business took a significant step into the firefighting world in 2005. At that time we became the official E-One dealer for Ontario and Atlantic Canada. Just like our relationship with International, our relationship with E-One is based on our desire to provide the very best products to what we can all agree is another critical market - fire departments. Following the example of our full service approach to the trucking industry, we set out to ensure that we could sell top quality emergency rescue vehicles, provide service to keep fire trucks on the road and saving communities and develop a parts department that would lead the industry. We are proud to say that as of today Carrier Centers supports communities throughout Ontario and Atlantic Canada in their endeavor to provide the best firefighting equipment for the brave men and women who make up their departments.

In 2005 Carrier purchased Priority Reefer to provide that same high level of service to the transportation refrigeration industry in Southern Ontario. Operating out of our Ayr location, but providing service right across Southern Ontario, our Reefer and Air Conditioning services are proud to be associated with Carrier Transicold, the number one name within the industry.

Carrier Centers began a relationship with Workhorse in 2008. Our goal was to provide superior walk-in vans sales and service to support all facets of the commercial delivery industry. Walk-in vans are an important business tool and we are proud to offer overnight service for parts and 24 hour roadside assistance service to our customers. Our partnership with Workhorse has allowed us to continue to offer the best in the industry.

We are also pleased to announce the recent addition of Doepker Trailers to our Carrier family. As a full line, authorized dealer for all of Southern Ontario, we can offer parts and service for the full range of Doepker Trailers. As we continue to grow, we remain committed to the same quality and service our customers have come to expect from the Carrier name.

Today all of our business units have been merged under the name of Carrier Centers. The common thread that binds every part of our business is the absolute highest level of training, experience and passion that every person within our company brings to the industry that they support. We combine that with a commitment to selling only the products that we believe are the best quality within the marketplace.

From International Trucks and MaxxForce engines, through to E-One Emergency Vehicles, Doepker Trailers, Carrier Transicold reefers, from unique Workhorse Walk-in vans through to our highly effective lease and rental program through Idealease, Carrier Centers has been diligent in developing the brand and product relationships that will help us live up to our promise to provide and support the highest level of products for the industries we so proudly support.
